These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SlashPie website and the services we provide. By using our site or engaging us for work, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.
Our services
SlashPie provides website design and development, copywriting, search engine optimization, lead capture, and related digital marketing services for businesses. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and price for any engagement are set out in the written proposal or agreement we provide for that project.
Quotes, fees, and payment
- Prices shown on our site are starting points. Your final price is scoped and confirmed before work begins.
- Unless stated otherwise in your project agreement, invoices are due as described in that agreement.
- You are responsible for any third-party costs you choose to incur, such as hosting, domains, premium plugins, or paid ad spend.
Our delivery guarantee
Where we offer a delivery timeline or money-back guarantee, the exact conditions, what counts as on time, and how any refund works are defined in your written project agreement. Nothing on our marketing pages overrides the specific terms of that agreement.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and the content, access, and approvals we need to do the work.
- Review deliverables and give feedback within the timeframes in your project agreement. Delays on your side may affect the timeline.
- Ensure any materials you give us, such as text, images, and logos, do not infringe anyone else's rights.
Intellectual property
Upon full payment, you own the final website and custom deliverables created specifically for you, except for third-party components such as plugins, fonts, stock assets, and frameworks, which remain under their own licenses. Until payment is complete, all work remains our property. We may display completed work in our portfolio and marketing unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Results and disclaimers
We bring real expertise to SEO, lead capture, and marketing, but we cannot guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue, which depend on many factors outside our control. Except for any guarantee expressly stated in your project agreement, our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlashPie is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to an engagement will not exceed the amount you paid us for that engagement.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SlashPie harmless from claims arising out of content or materials you provide to us, or your use of the deliverables in violation of law or third-party rights.
Third-party services
Our work often relies on third-party platforms such as WordPress, hosting providers, and plugins. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of those third parties.
Termination
Either party may end an engagement as described in the project agreement. Fees for work completed up to termination remain payable.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in accordance with your project agreement where one applies.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision. Continued use of our site or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
